Hues of red – crimsons and maroons – are embedded in our lives. As Nature’s favoured colour, for blood and earth, its richness holds the key to our most human and intimate moments. It is the symbol for Love – for longing, and certainty.
Red is warm; deep and searching. It is the colour we turn to when we are most bold – most alive, and most in control. Yet red is wild; it reminds us to be courageous, to traverse the journey ahead with passionate pursuit.
Red is fire; the one in our bellies and the one that keeps us warm. It is transformation, transmutation – the gentle caress of Mother Earth’s determination to weave together the web of Life. The red in our veins is the key to our survival; as it circulates, giving rise to every experience on this planet.
Red does not whisper, nor nudge – it exclaims! And pushes us to our limits; teaching us to know the space beyond our boundaries.
Red is confidence and action; protection and security. It can be anger, danger – warnings and lessons.
But Red, in all its richness, is Holy – it is medicine for our wounds.
It is Life Force.
